At first, they were simply shunned by the townsfolk even more in the future . . . But suspicions grew, and the atmosphere around them built up to a tense climax. Finally, at their wits' end, the 'shifters' - the spiteful name had been given to the different ones by the townsfolk - were forced to leave the towns and carry on their lives . . . But where? After traveling, they stumbled upon a remote and abandoned mountainside and valley. Claiming this as their own, they split into three groups and divided the territory evenly. All has been well since, but many agree that it is a simple matter of time before the humans find them - and perhaps a fate even worse than the previous will await them . . . They were to sneak away from thier clans in secret and meat at Highstones. And so Tigerfur from ThunderClan, Rosefang of RiverClan, Oakpelt of WindClan, and Greymist of ShadowClan listened to the prophecy, and learned from StarClan the next night that they were to recieve nine lives and create thier own clans, just on the other side of Highstones. The four cats decided that the clan names would honor and let them remember thier past leaders, and so BlueClan, CrookedClan, BrokenClan, and TallClan were born. But this land has yet to be tamed, and loners and rouges prowl. [i]. . . This RP takes place many years after Firestar's, Leopardstar's, Tallstar's, and Blackstar's reigns. The cats have moved to a new forest chosen for one particular reason: The four trees located in a clearing in the center. ThunderClan has taken residence very near that clearing, in a not-so-dense area of trees. There are still, however, many trees about. RiverClan has moved into a place near a river and some wide open space. They swim to each gathering. WindClan has moved into a large clearing not so far from the small clearing at which Four Trees is located. They are prospering. ShadowClan has moved into the darkest, densest area, but luckily they are no longer under the threat of disease. However, clan relations have been torn and and are in a state of disarray. ThunderClan and WindClan, who once were best friends, were bitter enemies. ThunderClan and RiverClan were having a territorial dispute, and they, too, were not happy with each other. RiverClan and ShadowClan were bitter enemies ever since a ShadowClan warrior killed a RiverClan apprentice who wandered onto ShadowClan territory. And then the battle came. As in a prophecy given to the medicine cats of the four clans before the battle, "With the storm comes the shadow, with the water the wind. Turned against each other, the blessed shall not survive. Only the stars can repiece the fragments," ThunderClan allied with ShadowClan and RiverClan with WindClan. The Clan leaders have been chosen. And now they must repiece the fragments of a torn forest.
